Okuma Avenger and Epix:
" ... Dear Okuma Dealer (Freetime Group Australia).
This is my fourth Okuma Reel.
I now own three Avangers 20 and one Epix 40. The Avengers I use for bream spinning, mainly soft plastics (I have managed to land mackeral on them and with 4lb fire line the Avengers handled this well). These reels helped me to get a place in the ABT Bream Event (9th ) in my first year. I have only been bream spinning for 9 months.
The Epix I use for pelagics mainly tuna plus mackeral. I have only been chasing them since buying this reel and have been doing well so far. I think your reels perform very well.
Thanks for the great reels.

Okuma Titus 50:
" ...Hi , My name is Fab Alavoine and here is a pic of my First Kingfish off the Rocks at Jervis Bay,NSW.It weighed in at 13kg and i could not have caught him without the help of my Okuma Titus-50 Lever drag Overhead.I'm using 24kg mainline with 100lbs trace. And LIVE squid helps too.Hope you enjoy as much as i did.(as you can tell by my smile) ..." see pictures
Okuma Epix and Inspira reels: " ...
I caught this longtail on a resent trip to Weipa. The reel was Inspira 30 loaded with 15 lb Tuff line braid and a Silstar rod. We also took two Epix40's up with us on heavy spin rods with 20lb Tuff Line on them and caught heaps of longtails, queenfish, wolf herring, trevally etc.... The Epix's and the Inspira were all excellent. I'm going back next year and I'm taking more Okuma's with me.

Silstar Nautica Reel:
"
... Just over a week ago I bought a Silstar Nautica NF-35 reel. Fishing the Hutt River I have already taken three brown trout on this reel. The larger two were real fighters and the Silstar managed them brillliantly. The drag on the reel is the best I have ever used. It's always consistent on its resistance, so you know exactly where you are with it. The Nautica's retrieve is very smooth and has never given any problems at all. I like the foldover handle that tucks out of the way when carrying my rod and reel to and from the river. And the styling is very smart. It's a reel I'm proud to own and quick to recommend..."
Silstar PF-602SPM rod / Fina FI-30 reel:
"Caught this 17lb barramandi on the Silstar rod and Fina reel,
even using the Tuf XP line. To be honest I recon that combo is perfect
for catching barra of that size, the line is be far the best I have ever
used and the Fina reel has basically zero reverse action so it made the
"hook up" easy, the fish put the reel through its' paces and it handled it
with ease. The rod itself was great, handling a 17lb barra for about 5 minutes
without a problem. Over all it was just awesome."
Titus Gold:
"We landed a Bluefin tuna that weighed in at 350 pounds.
The fish was 84" long and I landed my Blue fin tuna on
stand-up tackle and the TG-50W-II. The reel and new silent
anti-reverse system performed flawlessly."
Epix Baitfeeder:
"Hi, My name is H. Davey, on Monday 8th July my son
and I went down to Umina beach to try and catch a feed of
Bream. I was using an Epix EB 30 with 4 kg line, 6 1/2 foot
rod, and a bloodworm for bait. 1 hour later, 23 kg Jewfish!
But no Bream. I bought my son (Phillip 9 years old) an Epix
EB 30 for his birthday, and liked it so much I bought one
for myself! I hope to get another for Fathers Day and set
it up for lure fishing for Bream. These Epix reels are superb,
and as you can see, have already proven themselves! "
Epix Baitfeeder and Silstar Diamond Power Tip Rod:
We were fishing for Kingfish with pilchards on three ganged
hooks when a Bonito came out of nowhere & swallowed my
bait while I was bringing it back in to check it, the fight
(on 8lb mono) lasted nearly 30 minutes & the tackle never
missed a beat. The guy I was fishing with has since bought
the same reel, it is arguably one of the best reels I have
ever owned (the rod is damn fine too) well done Okuma, it's
about time someone made decent gear at a realistic price.
Silstar Baitcaster Rod
I caught a 92cm Barramundi (18lb) using my Silstar Traverse
X Rod (PX-561CAML 3-4kg) casting lures in a creek mouth near
Borroloola.
Storm Soft Plastics
The Wildeye Swimbait Shads in the mid-range sizes work really
well on flatties we've been finding lately. I'm keen to try
out the 6" model on some kingies and hopefully jewies.
"Storm shads are the best looking rubber lures I've
seen"
